There’s just something about spring that makes me feel so happy. Even when I’m having a bad day, I can always look on the bright side when spring is in the air. Another thing I love about spring though, is all of the flowers and bees. It’s a great excuse to sit outside in the sunshine with my camera and forget about the rest of the world. And I don’t even have to leave my back garden.
One thing photography has really taught me to appreciate, is that even something so simple, and seemingly mundane, can be beautiful if you take the time to look. Even the simple white flowers on my lemon tree, or a bee in bottle brush…
I love these tiny white flowers too, but I have no idea what they’re called! The bees love them too…
Turns out I’m not very good at remembering the names of flowers, but that doesn’t mean I like them any less!
Perfect spring weather, bursting with new life, is what I’m going to use to convince myself not to be jealous of all the northern hemisphere talk about Autumn. I just can’t resist a cosy, burgundy, knitted jumper. For now though, summer awaits!
